Information and explanatory notes from the issuer on this Corporate News:
For many years, there has been an increased need for investment on the part of government security and law enforcement agencies. This relates both to increasing the number of staff and also better technical equipment of the operatives in the police and military. Our lives, our values and our democracy are threatened not only by Islamic terrorism, but also by radical and/or the populist right-wing and organized crime, including no-go areas. As a result of this, the willingness and ability to invest further with regard to government security and law enforcement agencies should increase across Europe. However, the prerequisite for this is a rethink in politics, which must provide the necessary additional financial means over the short-term.
The equipping of special units is one of the biggest core competencies of CeoTronics. Not only special response units (SEKs) but also units operating covertly should be expanded and developed – naturally also with technical equipment. In the product area ‘covert communication’, CeoTronics recently brought unique products onto the market. The publication of details is naturally prohibited. Also for SEK/SWAT teams and other special units, CeoTronics has developed the intelligent radio operating button ‘CT-MultiPTT 2C/BT’ - a product that should generate stimulus. CeoTronics AG and Schuberth GmbH have coordinated their products for the riot police and exclusively this helmet/headset combination is also certified and approved according to the Technical Directive of the Police. What’s more, CeoTronics is developing the new generation of the digital radio CT-DECT, for which a market launch is planned in summer 2016.
For the following 2016/2017 financial year, the successful marketing of the newly developed CeoTronics products and the newly offered services and an increase in sales with the military and the defense industry are expected. Domestically, CeoTronics is particularly expecting interesting orders as part of the BOS digital radio call for tenders (police and fire service) as well as in connection with the increased investment to boost internal security. In the overseas markets, growing sales overall across all customer groups are expected.
“According to current estimates, CeoTronics will continue the positive business development that was introduced in the financial year 2014/2015 and can keep to the sales and results targets for the financial years 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 published in August 2015,” stated CEO and chairman of the board Thomas H. Günther.
