From jet handling to mission critical communication

Defense forces have valued CEOTRONICS as a reliable partner for decades. In the field, they use tens of thousands of highly specialized control units, innovative DECT systems, special headsets and technically sophisticated helmet systems. This page gives you an insight into relevant application scenarios. The CEOTRONICS team will of course also be happy to advise you personally.

Jet handling

Jet handling

Pilots, mechanics, members of the fuel crew and other emergency personnel have to coordinate perfectly with each other during jet handling. The extremely noisy environment places high demands on the communication system used. In order to ensure smooth communication, two DECT systems from CEOTRONICS are used for jet handling: With the CT-DECT Case as a base, a stable DECT radio circuit with up to 12 subscribers can be set up. The CT-DECT Multi also ensures latency-free full-duplex communication for up to 5 users.

Thanks to the CT-ComLink® technology, the CT-DECT systems recognize connected radios, cell phones, headsets and helmet systems and ensure their perfect interaction. The same applies to the CT-MultiPTT 1C. This can also be controlled remotely via CT-WirelessPTT MIL.

Aircraft mechanics rely on the CT-NoiseProtection Helmet. It stands for the highest quality of communication and hearing protection in extreme noise ranges up to 140 dB(A). The skullcap contact microphone ensures clear speech transmission. Four microphones ensure external noise reception (ASR) despite perfect sound insulation.

Communication on military ships

Communication on military ships

If a helicopter lands on the deck of a military ship, close coordination between the ship’s crew and the pilot is essential. This is where CT-DECT systems can make full use of their advantages: Connected to the ship’s intercom system, the CT-DECT Case serves as the basis for close-range communication for up to 12 participants. The CT-DECT Multi for up to 5 users has also proven its worth. It also ensures interference-free full-duplex communication in real time. CT-ComLink® technology ensures perfect interaction between connected radio devices and headsets. The same applies to the CT-MultiPTT 3C, which enables communication via up to 3 radio circuits. Like the CT-MultiPTT 1C, it can be controlled remotely by the CT-WirelessPTT MIL – if you have your hands full.

The crew is ideally equipped with the CT-NoiseProtection Hood. It ensures wireless full-duplex communication in high-noise areas and offers integrated hearing, head and eye protection. The CT-Energielos headset also ensures interference-free communication – e.g. from the engine room to the bridge. This headset enables simultaneous wired listening and speaking without the need for a separate power source.

Special and special applications

Special and special applications

Whether special operations, reconnaissance or surveillance missions, crisis interventions or counter-terrorism operations – special military operations require perfectly functioning Mission Critical Communication.

CEOTRONICS products have proven themselves in such operations for decades. A stable DECT radio circuit for up to 12 subscribers is set up using the CT-DECT Case as a base. This ensures latency-free communication at close range. The radio circuit can be extended by up to 5 users via the CT-DECT Multi. Of course, the CT-DECT Multi also functions as a stand-alone, wireless full-duplex communication system.

The special forces are excellently equipped with the CT-MultiPTT 3C for communication in up to 4 communication circuits and the CT-MultiPTT 1C Plus. Like the CT-DECT systems, both offer maximum flexibility in the selection of connected radios, cell phones connected via Bluetooth and headsets thanks to CT-ComLink® technology. In really noisy environments, the CT-ClipCom Digital or the CT-Neckband Headset are recommended – both can be worn under a helmet.

Communication for armored vehicles

Communication for armored vehicles

The crew of armored vehicles must be able to communicate with each other, with troops outside the vehicle and with command and control units at all times. Clear, efficient and latency-free. The communication system is crucial to the success of any critical mission.

Two premium DECT systems from CEOTRONICS guarantee reliable full-duplex communication in real time at all times: CT-DECT Case and CT-DECT Multi. Thanks to CT-ComLink® technology, they enable smooth interaction in an existing communication architecture consisting of intercom systems, radios, headsets and cell phones connected via Bluetooth.

The CT-DECT Case establishes a stable DECT radio circuit for up to 12 subscribers, ensuring latency-free communication around the armored vehicle. The CT-DECT Multi enables a wireless full-duplex communication system with up to 5 subscribers. Both systems can of course be connected to each other. As an option, they also allow confidential communication via a self-sufficient radio circuit. The premium CT-ClipCom Digital in-ear headset ensures optimum communication and maximum hearing protection, even in the noisiest of environments.

Explosive ordnance disposal and EOD/IEDD

Explosive ordnance disposal and EOD/IEDD

Defusing and removing unexploded ordnance, mines or improvised explosive devices (IEDs) requires maximum concentration on every action. Everyone involved must be able to communicate reliably and without delay – even if they cannot see each other.

The two DECT systems from CEOTRONICS have proven themselves a hundred times over for such operations: a stable DECT radio circuit with up to 12 subscribers can be set up for incident command with the CT-DECT Case. The CT-DECT Multi ensures latency-free communication at close range for up to 5 users. Thanks to the CT-ComLink® direct connection, it can be connected directly to the Med-Eng™ EOD® 10 helmet.

CT-ComLink® technology also ensures problem-free connection with standard radio devices, cell phones connected via Bluetooth and headsets. The CT-ThroatMike Comfort with throat microphone and headset is ideal for smooth communication in a full protective suit. The lightweight and robust CT-CombiCom headset can also be worn under a hard hat and can be individually adjusted to the shape of the head.

Push-to-talk over IP/POC

Push-to-talk over IP/POC

Whether tactical military operations, covert operations or in vehicle and convoy operations – there are many situations in which classic radios should not be used. Whenever hands must remain free, the services of a remote PTT button are required.

The CT-WirelessPTT MIL is used in such situations. It is simply connected to a cell phone via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Individual functions of the app used can be assigned to its buttons and then executed at the touch of a finger. The buttons provide tactile feedback.

As our (sm)all-in-one controller, this control unit can be attached to the wrist or directly to clothing using a wristband. This means that even in stressful situations, the user is connected to the control center or other units at the touch of a button via PTT over IP/POC.

In addition to cell phones, the CT-WirelessPTT MIL can of course control all control units from the CT-ComLink® family as well as radios or tactical hubs from other manufacturers remotely.

Communication in protective suits

Communication in protective suits

Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) operations require the wearing of protective suits, as do operations in contaminated areas or for the disposal of explosive ordnance. In each of these cases, communication with the operations center and all those involved must function perfectly and in real time.

Defense forces use two premium DECT systems from the CEOTRONICS product portfolio for this purpose: The CT-DECT Case enables a stable DECT radio circuit with up to 12 participants as a base for command. The CT-DECT Multi establishes a radio circuit for load-free full-duplex communication of up to 5 users as a self-sufficient network.

CT-ComLink® technology ensures perfect interaction between the radios, intercom systems and headsets used. The special headsets from CEOTRONICS are a first choice, especially for work in NBC protective suits: the CT-ThroatMike Comfort with throat microphone and headset, the CT-ClipCom Digital with certified hearing protection and external noise reception and the extremely flat and lightweight CT-Neckband headset. All of them can of course be worn under a safety helmet.
